Why we like to work with the companies who supply our products
At Snugg, we aim to provide the greatest range of the most beautiful products available to our customers. We also care about how these products are made and so below is some information on who supplies us and why they are so special.
Albetta
Albetta has been designing clothing for babies and children since the late 1990s. Inspired by the need for fun, practical and colourful clothing, Albetta sleepsuits, babygrows and pjs feature all sorts of wonderful designs. Albetta own their own factory in Saigon, which allows them to ensure working conditions are ethical and the end products are as high quality as they can be.
Babies in Sheeps Clothing
Babies in Sheeps Clothing source the highest quality ethically produced lambskin and merino wool baby and childrenswear. All products are handmade in rural New Zealand and are built to last. Supporters of BLISS – for babies born too soon, too small or too sick, for every pair of slippers or boots sold, BISC donate £1 to BLISS.
Claesens
Claesens was founded in Amsterdam in 1993. Originally an underwear brand, it has since expanded to include swimwear, funwear and PJs, which is where Snugg fits in. Claesens textiles are manufactured in the Far East, where the company’s strict criteria are met.
Cloud Cuckoo
Founder and UK designer Claire Pugh has designed many unique and quirky creatures and prints for her beautiful Cloud Cuckoo textiles. All products are made from 100% certified organic cotton, with a view that their processes and care for the environment today will provide a better planet for our children tomorrow.
Daisy Roots
All Daisy Roots slippers are handmade in England and have been recommended by the Child growth Foundation, London, England. They have a unique ankle elastic system to ensure they stay on and are easy to fit. The slippers are soft and fleecy and fully washable at 40*.
Darcy Brown
Darcy Brown is a top UK design company, with the desire to ensure children look like children. Designer Clare Brown and her team take classics styles and matches them with gorgeous, fun fabrics to create timeless style. C;are believes you don’t need to sacrifice style for comfort and all Darcy brown nightwear is machine washable.
Fozia
These stunning items for sale on Snugg are from Fozia’s first collection, which is made from 100% organic, chemically untreated, Fairtrade cotton.
Funky Feet
Every piece from Funky Feet is handmade in the UK, using only the finest quality materials and the closest attention to detail. Hatley
Hatley has been producing it’s fun, Canadian countryside inspired products for over 20 years. It has remained a family run business throughout this time and the designs reflect the principles on which it started : family, good design, quality and lots of laughs. Snugg features a wide range of Hatley PJs and sleepsuits because we feel they deliver the very essence of what we are about – variety, cosy cotton and fun for children at bedtime.
Helen Gordon
Experienced textile designer Helen Gordon’s range of nightwear combines the charm of vintage with a classic contemporary feel. Based on classic fairytales, the Helen Gordon range are made from the highest quality fabrics using ethical manufacturers. Helen supports UK manufacturers wherever possible and many of her items are produced in Wales and the Midlands.
Huckleberry Lane
Huckleberry Lane is a family owned business which creates beautifully designed sleepwear for children which is timeless, classic and comfortable. Items are made in Australia, using 100% cotton.
Imajo
Imajo is a UK company who import handmade soft toys, rag dolls and hand crocheted toys. All Imajo toys are made from fabric and wool, with most of the materials produced locally to where the items are made. The factory Imajo use in Sri Lanka operates on the principles of fair trade. The factory they use in Thailand is part of a government project to support the community goods called OTOP. It helps traditional Thai handicraft in small villages to promote their products.
Koeka
Founded in 1998 by two Dutch mums, Koeka aims to make nightwear that is colourful, functional, comfy and perfectly tuned to the worls of children. Four keywords describe the Koeka brand : Quality, Comfort, Safety and Style – because children are the most precious possession. All items are made from the softest 100% cotton.
Little Darlings Textiles
British designers Little Darlings are based in Kent and produce very high quality cotton nightwear for children. Their designs are classic and fun and will make bedtime a delight for any little boy or girl.
Little Green Radicals
With their slogan ‘organic fashion for free range kids’, Little Green Radicals is a fairtrade company, dedicated to producing the very best in organic cotton clothing for children. Snugg has handpicked some of Little Green Radical's fun sleepsuits, organice, soft and just gorgeous.
Lunn Antiques
Lunn Antiques is a classic English company, offering a wide range of classic and modern designs as well as adapted vintage designs. Lunn use the very best quality cotton and also have access to various Beatrix Potter characters used in their nightwear.
Minene
Minene means ‘my child’ and it is a young and innovative company, making well designed products for babies and young children. They focus on design, comfort and the joy of wearing their pjs.
Olive & Moss
UK designer Nina Govan set up Olive and Moss over two years and designs baby clothes with clean, bright and contemporary tones. The clothes are 100% cotton and feature many gorgeous personalities such as Margot & Mo, Douglas the Dog and Louis the Lion.
Powell Craft
Powell Craft has a stunning range of designs for children’s nightwear and associated products such as rag dolls, hot water bottles and blankets. Perfect for the Snugg range as there is something beautiful for everyone amongst their collection. Many of the items feature handmade elements and are 100% cotton. In addition, Powell Craft donates a percentage of all children’s nightwear sales to Mobile Creches. This is a charity in India for young children and their working mothers who live in poverty. Mobile Creches provides childcare services and was established in 1969.
Sebra
Sebra was establlished in 2004 and is a Danish design company. Sebra combines modern design with age old crafts such as crocheting and knitting. Much of the Sebra collection is handmade from natural materials such as wood, cotton and wool.
Tantrums (part of Lulu Australia)
Tantrums is the Lulu Australia range of bags etc for children. The range is lively, fun and distinctive yet designed and made with durability and functionality in mind. The colourful motifs come in oil cloth for a fashionable look and performance that will stand the test of time.
Toffee Moon
Toffee Moon is a collection of luxury designer baby clothing and blankets, designed around the principles of precious, practical, soft and comfortable. The intricate detail of Toffee Moon garments have been designed to ensure they not only look exceptional but are also practical and comfortable. All items are made using super soft cotton rich fabrics and can be machine washed at 30*C
Turquaz
Turquaz use only the very best quality pure cotton. Turquaz is a Fair Trade company , using a workforce of highly skilled weavers, embroiderers and seamstresses.
Turquaz supports the local SOS Children’s Charity, which provides loving homes for orphaned and abandoned children and a group of schools for underprivileged children.
